Renato Usatîi’s Partidul Nostru has drafted a bill to abolish compulsory military service in Moldova, but the proposal has not yet cleared even the first procedural hurdle. The party has only six MPs and still needs 34 signatures to register the initiative, while actual abolition would require amending the Constitution with support from two thirds of parliament.
