A mistake at the enlistment office in Gothenburg has led to unmotivated people born in 2006 being called up to do compulsory military service, despite the fact that there were other approved candidates who actually wanted to serve.

This resulted in people who scored highly on the enlistment tests, but who did not want to do military service, being enlisted even though there were other approved candidates who did want to serve. Exactly how many such cases there were cannot be determined, says Henrik Sundell.

The story appeared in Sveriges Radio.
