According to Iltalehti “The crimes took place on April 14, 2024. The signalman had brought alcohol to the barracks area and consumed it during his service. He had been moving around the garrison area intoxicated and wanted to get away. The conscript, who was apparently intoxicated, had threatened the duty officer of his own unit and threatened to do something to other conscripts if he could not get out. He had also called the emergency services and threatened to shoot someone if he was not allowed to leave the barracks. Due to the intoxicated and threatening communications officer, military police had to be called to the scene.”
