Where is it written in the Constitution, in what article or section is it contained, that you may take children from their parents, and parents from their children, and compel them to fight the battles of any war in which the folly or the wickedness of government may engage it?
Daniel Webster, remarks in the House (December 9, 1814)
Values & Beliefs
We believe public policy should be based on consent, not coercion.
We believe no state has the right to own your body, your time, or your future.
We believe the West cannot afford waste and bad policy in wartime.
- Individual Autonomy
You should be given the freedom to make choices about your life.
- Freedom of conscience
You should decide the values and the causes you are willing to die for.
- Human dignity
No one should be treated as a resource to be commanded, deployed, or sacrificed against their will.
- Equal rights
You should not be forced to die or waste years of your life, because of your age, gender, or nationality.
Rights don’t end when war begins.
